Vios of the month: Stage 1 - ekim

Image

I got really excited when my mom popped the idea of buying me a car for my 21st birthday to be my service vehicle here in Manila. On 26 October, our brand new 2nd gen Vios 1.3E was driven home by my mother. Excited to get my hands on the wheel, I took it for a short drive later that night together with my brother. Just to get the feel of the car. I was happy driving it. Conscious of the marketability of the vehicle, I thought I’d make mine a standout or at least, something different. So one day at the office, with the help of a search engine, I looked up stuffs in the internet on car modification, and then I bumped into this website, www.viosclubphil.com and then the rest is history for me. I never thought I’d find this wonderful of a car club here in Manila. By merely browsing through the forum at first it really came to me that this is something different, I already sensed the type of bond the group have. Then the day came when I joined one event of the club. I joined one, then another, and then another. The next time I knew I was already an official member. Like what they say, after one EB, sunod-sunod na yan!

I’m looking forward to a euro themed car. So far, my modifications are horns, Concept One NFS1 rims wrapped with 205/45R17 Maxxis tires, and Tein S-Tech Lowering springs with -1.89 inch drop. Just keeping it simple and with the reliable help that I get from my fellow VCPians in regard to suggestions on car modifications, I will never go wrong.

All that is left for me to say is, if you own a Vios, bond with us. Be a member, make owning a Vios an experience of a lifetime, the VCPian way; Fun, Camaraderie and Respect. I am really happy to belong to such a reputable car club with a really amazing bond; samahang walang katapat.

My car is a 2004 1.3E Vios. It was a gift from my dad to encourage me while I reviewed for my bar exam. Fortunately, it worked & I became a lawyer. I always enjoyed driving my vios, not only is it sporty but also practical, since its not a gas-guzzler. On July 2007, I finally decided to make modifications to it. Before I joined VCP on November 2007, my vios already sported mags, body-kits, carbon-fiber hood, sound setup, leather interior, and Momo accessories.

My 1st TC was memorable for me. I got to meet tatapinx & rsaint, and they had become my exterior & sound setup consultants. Through them I also met Jon'z80, who had made 2 wood works for me. Thanks to him, my previous SQ setup won 2nd place at the January 2008 VCP GEB.

At present, my vios had undergone a lot of modifications (3 sound setups, 3 mags, etc.). The best asset of my car, to me, is my SPL sound setup made by the 2 masters: Jon'z80 and C&J Autosound. During the 4th VCP Anniversary it won 2nd place Best 1.3 vios, and its sound setup was able to hit 132.5 db. My vios had already joined various carshows. All of these would not have been possible without the help and support of the best car club in the planet which is... Vios Club of the Philippines!

Welcome to VCP!

The Vios Club Philippines is a group comprised of Toyota Vios owners with a common objective of providing its members a setting for their unified interests. While our main offerings are maintenance, repairs, and modification tips for the Vios, the club also promotes fun and support to its member through activities and undertakings done in camaraderie and brotherhood.

In the beginning...
The Vios Club Philippines, or VCP as it is fondly called by its members, is a classic example of a blessing in disguise - a spin-off that turned out better than the original source. The group's birth was the outcome of what started out as minor disagreements within the first available forum for Vios owners and people who were at least interested in getting a Vios. Apparently, some of the registered users were mere individuals who were using cars manufactured by a competitor of Toyota, and just joined in the discussion boards to spite the growing number of Vios followers - owners and would-be owners alike. This grew more obvious as the arguments got more heated...
